About NUSAN

The Nepal-U.S. Alumni Network (NUSAN) is a network of United States Government (USG) exchange alumni from diverse backgrounds. Established in 2017 it is located in Kalopul, Kathmandu, Nepal. NUSAN aims to engage, collaborate, and foster innovation with support from the U.S. Embassy in Nepal. It has three strategic objectives: engaging the USG alumni community across Nepal, providing Alumni Small Grants (ASG) to support alumni-led projects, and fostering collaboration and networking to leverage each other’s expertise.

Registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Nepal, NUSAN works in various thematic areas, including entrepreneurship, community development, and women’s empowerment. The General Assembly is held annually, and every two years, an election takes place during the Annual General Meeting to select new leadership for NUSAN.
